House Manual

Everything you need to use the house — written in plain English.

Wi‑Fi

For security, the network name and password are posted inside the house — you'll find the card on the kitchen counter when you arrive.

The network name and password are on the welcome card on the kitchen counter. If the network doesn't appear right away, wait a minute and refresh — Starlink can take a moment to wake up.

Use the Nest thermostat on the wall to control whole‑house heating and cooling. For heating, set around 68–70°F. For cooling, 74–76°F is comfortable. If you light the pellet stove, drop the thermostat to ~64°F so the systems don't fight each other.

  1. Fill the hopper at the top of the pellet stove with wood pellets.
  2. Clean any ash from the burn pot before starting.
  3. Power on with the right‑side control panel.
  4. Set feed rate P1–P5 (P2–P3 is a great starting point).
  5. Let it ignite automatically — pellets will begin feeding.
  6. Drop the Nest to ~64°F while the stove is running.
